Do you still play board games or card games?

If so, how serious are you about them?

I can be pretty intense while playing card games or board games.

Okay. AMA, I want you to help me. But this might not be an easy one.

So. There's this book. I read it a few years ago, and I guess I forgot about it. But the past month or so I keep remembering more and more about it. Like, I'll remember a tiny little detail every day. I want to find this book, but I just can't. I can't recall any names from the book. However, the word "Runaways" is ringing a bell. I'm not sure if it's the title but I think the word may have been mentioned in the book a lot. Here's some scattered details. Some of these details MAY NOT BE TOTALLY RIGHT, because my memory's fuzzy and I read a LOT.

-Post apocalyptic, or at least set in the future.
-Kids who are 'no good' can basically be signed off by their parents to go to this place where they're deconstructed so their organs can be used to help other people.
-Two kids find out that this is happening to them and try to escape. [may have been one kid and his friend, not two kids?]
-There's this one kid who has part of a brain from another kid and he compulsively steals things, but he doesn't mean to and is ashamed about it.
-the two kids that escape are directed to this slummy thing by some lady, and then shipped off in crates after a while. One of the kids is sleazy and is after a girl there. Some other guy constantly tries to protect her.
-Not all of them survive the crates
-The crates ship them to some 'camp' thing for kids [runaways?] who have escaped the other place.
-There's this evil doctor or person of authority who everybody is scared of. He [she?] assigns one of the kids as their helper. I think they have a truck. And maybe people who go into the truck don't come out? Something like that.
-In the end, one kid is 'deconstructed' whilst the main female character plays music.

HELP ME. I NEED TO FIND THIS SHIT. GOOGLE DOESN'T WORK.

I had an awesome icon of David Tennant as the Doctor with a 'shopped Santa hat that I've been using since 2005. My computer died in February and I lost a LOT of stuff like that. Should I troll my photobucket for it and remake it if I can't find it, or should I make a new one, perhaps of Spock?

A friend of mine referred me to a friend of his who actually owns a theremin. It's not a good theremin by any stretch of the imagination, but at least it is a theremin! So I have been able to play with it and get a feel for the instrument. I really like it so far, but my research has lead me to find that theremins are very expensive! :( This one was only $30, but it's also of the sort of quality that would not be advisable for actually attempting to play any sort of music. I've found some decent <$100 ones, but they all have 1/4 inch jacks - which means to hear anything out of them, I'd need a guitar amp, which I do not have. If I can find one with a 1/8 inch jack, I will be immeasurably pleased and buy it asap.

Anyway, here is a very long video of me trying to play said instrument:

I apologize, as it is ridiculously long and I'm also in gross old clothes because it's Thanksgiving and I can't be arsed to dress decently. I'm far too stuffed and tired for that! Also, the quality is as such (weird and everything outlined) so that you can actually see the antenna.

If I decide against the theremin, I have 4 main back up choices that I am juggling.

1. "Electric Acoustic"> Bass Guitar (Okay, so not that original, but pretty cheap and I do so love bass)
2. Bass Piano Accordion (What can I say? It's wonderful in pretty much every way imaginable)
3. Melodica (I'm getting mixed word about the potential difficulty level I might have about this instrument, given my air difficulties. I don't know if I'd buy one unless I could try it out first)
4. Keyboard (Definitely not original, but if I'm going to be goin' from scratch, I could prove most successful in this case, and there's a lot of flexibility to it)

Lets say we could crossbreed a lizard that can regrow its tail with a chicken and then lobotomize it so what we end up with is a chicken like thing we can keep alive on live support so that we could cut its wings off and they would grow back so we could cut them off again.

Would you eat those wings?

there are people saying that to write love on her arms donates charity money to a cause called "pray away the gay".
is this true?
i'm a big fan of TWLOHA and believe in what they stand for, but if this is true, i'll most likely no longer be a fan.
i think that's bullshit. there is no reason for a cause like that. i respect christians, but i'm not a christian.
if you know they donate to this cause, do you have any proof?
thanks! :p

Would you name a child after an ex? Not intentionally, of course.

I ask because I've always known what I wanted to call my kids. And I recently broke up with a guy with the name I was planning to call my son (if I ever had one).

It wasn't really anything more than a fling, so it hasn't put me off too much. It just got me thinking.

Or at least it THINKS its going into starvation because it obviously didn't look in the mirror...My medication has made me lose my appetite...which is okay for losing weight I guess. I haven't eaten almost in a day...and I can feel my body lose its firmness..All it seems like all its left is the layers of skin.Is it just my imagination or has anyone else felt like this??How fast does your body lose weight when you starve yourself and exercise?? I can tell something is different..should I try exercising to firm up...I really don't have too much energy for that either :( can't wait to get off of the meds.
